A very common question when I’m out to help businesses are, “can we combine multiple data sources in a simple way?” Maybe combined structured information from data warehouse with data from Excel or REST API. Many vendors have solutions for this but it also requires programming/SQL skills or scripting. With Power BI from Microsoft you can manage this without scripting in a user friendly interface.
Here you can also arrange your unstructured information such as pivot/un-pivot, trimming and shaping your data. Power BI detects and proposes links or you can also create them by yourself. All steps are recorded and saved so you can easily follow your changes and undo some if necessary. To combine data from on premise data sources, cloud and REST API:s reflects the information landscape we now live in. Why not make it easy?
